Draft UDO Heads to Planning & Zoning Commission for Review
On September 8, 2026, at 7:15 PM at City Hall, the Planning & Zoning Commission will consider the second draft of Berkeley Lake’s new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
The UDO combines zoning, subdivision, environmental protection, and other development-related regulations into a single, user-friendly document. To accomplish this, several existing chapters of the City Code must also be updated to align with the new UDO.
The second draft is available to review at the interactive library.
Here you will find:
The UDO V2 Draft, which includes a link to a redlined version;
The Official Zoning Map V2 Draft, which shows renamed zoning districts; and
Supporting updates to other provisions of the City Code.
Public comments will be taken at the Planning & Zoning Commission hearing and a future hearing before the Berkeley Lake City Council.
Thank you!
